This pair of Japanese enameled badges is probably around 30 years old. The smaller hiragana writing on the fronts says \"Hachiman\", which probably refers to Kamakura\'s Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine, while the single red kanji is \"You\" (\"Childhood\"), the first character of \"Youchien\" (\"Kindergarten\"). (Hachiman Shrine has a kindergarten on its grounds, which in fact our own offspring attended years ago, but not wearing these badges.)

There is some general wear, with a few scratches in the enamel and some bends in the pins on the back, but there is otherwise no significant damage.

Each is about W7/8\" (22mm) X H7/8\" (22mm) X D1/16\" (2mm).

Registered mail with tracking is also available for an additional US$4.50 above the standard Air Mail shipping cost stated in the description.
