This set of two books is titled Encyclopedia of Freemasonry Volumes 1 and 2, originally written by Albert G. Mackey in 1873 with this edition being printed in1924 (Volume 1) and1921 (Volume 2). The revision for this edition was done by Edward L. Hawkins and William J. Hughan of the 30th and 32nd Degrees respectively. The outside binding on both books is in good condition, with some light but visible wear along the spine, face, and outeredges of the front and back covers. The inside bindings are clean and intact, and all the gold detailing is shining and impressive. The pages are intact and easy to read, with fine illustrations throughout the encyclopedias. There does not appear to be any missing pages from these books. These wonderful vintage books will make an excellent addition to any fine Masonic collection!
Each book measures 10 1/4" tall, 7 1/2" wide and 2" thick.
