We are pleased to offer this fine early George III sterling baluster mug.

From William Turton in 1767. Apprenticed under William Dorrey in 1757. Free 1764. Worked in the 1760 his first mark lost in missing register.

Classic baluster with gently flared rim and stepped foot. Well cast rolled and feathered acanthus cap scroll handle, rising from oval terminal.

Never monogrammed.

This fine 1757 English sterling baluster mug is 4 3/4 inches at rim and 11 1/2 standard ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina. Mild wear, couple faint lines.
