Always very popular and a very useful desk-top accessory. These large circular magnifiers actually are the condenser or magnifier from a Magic Lantern they are rescued, polished up and put back to use in the modern day.

This one is exceptional, unusual and highly collectible with it\'s unusual cut outs to the brass on the sides, making this a highly decorative desk-top accessory. This design was clearly revolutionary and rather special having an English design registration number which dates this piece to 1894.

Wonderful condition, with a good magnification and a hefty piece to keep those papers in place. 4 1/4\" in diameter x 2\" high to top of domed lens.
