English Antique Rolling Dome Silver Plate Buffet Server Hukin & Heath Greek Key:

Elegant rolling dome covered server measures approx. 14½” x 10” and stands 8” high. It consists of the ball and claw footed stand, dome covering, a pierced and a solid insert, and four end pieces that secure the dome in place and screw off for thorough cleaning. It has two rows of the Greek key design. Thehallmark is Hukin & Heath. Birmingham & London England, (1855-1953).Ithas some minor scratchesbutis stillin very good useable and useful condition.One of the nicest pieces of older silver plated hollowware I have seen.

*** I got an inquiry about anydents. After close scrutiny, there is a tiny \"dimple\" of a dent located above the upper Greek key band on the back side of the rolling dome. As it is on the back, it is not noticeable either closed or when open. I have tried to capture it in the last photo. I placed tape framing it on 3 sides, the fourth side being the upper line of the Greek key band. Look center of this block, or slightly above center for a small line that is the dimple. It is so small a pencil eraser placed over it would cover it. I note no other dents, just minor scratches from use, as noted before.
