A scarceENGLISH bronze skillet or posnet by the brassfounder,Thomas BlinmanofBristol. Cast in theearly 19th century this skillethas caston the handle,T BLINMAN & Cofollowed byII (indicating the size). It has a diameter of 146mm, stands 140mm high and the handle is 190mm long. It is inreasonable conditionbut does have afracture onthe rim near the handle and has the remains of working blacksmith repair toone front leg (ie, it had an extension riveted onto it) and the top of thisleg has distorted the inside of the pan (see photo). A scarce manufacturer.
