Offered in the sale is a very rare and early Tea Set.
It is an ENGLISH GEORGIAN 1804 STERLING SILVER GEORGE III TEAPOT & CREAMER, both made by William Hall, London, England.
Commissioned between the years 1804 -1808 by William Hall.Both are hallmarked with King George III for ENGLAND, a Lion Passant for STERLING SILVER 925/1000 pure, the makers mark WH for WILLIAM HALL in a rectangle stamp, a crowned Lion for LONDON. The Tea Pot is date marked with a Capital I for the year 1804 and
the creamer date stamped with a Capital M for the year 1808.
(it was common practice for pieces of a set to be commissioned over
3-4 years when they were purchased and paid with installment payments in the day). Part of the Finial and handle are made of wood with sterling silver hardware attachments on tea pot. The rest is solid sterling as well
as the creamer being solid sterling silver.Teapot measures 11\" Length X 4.5\" width X 6.5\"Height
