Click to View Image Album This is an outstanding piece of English Georgian sterling silver!This wonderful vinaigrette is beautifully designed. The grate or grill on the inside is particularly nice with loads of swirls and a pretty flower. The outside features a basket weave design with fancy edges and an intertwined monogrammed. A light gold wash remains on the outside, and the inside is more heavily gold washed. This piece is fully hallmarked for Birmingham. I believe the date is 1792-3. (possibly 1818). The maker was Samuel Pemberton. This piece is in extremely good condition and measures 1 1/2\" by 1\"by 1/4\". The hinges work well, and this piece opens easily and shuts tightly.
