We are pleased to offer this important George IV silver gilt tea service.

From William Esterbrook in 1828.

First listed in 1816.

Most of his career a spoon maker. In 1824 registered as a large maker. However almost no examples of this work are found.

The tea service offered today is the only example of a complete set we could identify through an exhaustive search.

In tapering melon fluted form.

The eight panels with raised fruit and floral displays, featuring lush pineapple, melon and apple. Each distinct.

Cast raised shell and floral rim.

Spout rising from shell and cascading floral. Original leaf cap inset center panel handles.

Never monogrammed

Hallmarked as shown.

This 1828 William Esterbrook fruit and floral coffee pot 7 inches 18 standard ounces.

Teapot 8 inches handle to spout 19 ounces.

Sugar 7 inches weight with tongs 16 ounces.

Creamer 6 inches & 10 1/2 ounces.

The entire four piece set weighs 63 standard ounces.

Excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina. Interior of the pots clean as if little used. Stand perfectly firm on table or display shelf. Covers close flush. The fruit and floral retain all of their original detail. Mild wear to gilt as shown.
