We are pleased to offer this monumental 18th Royal Hussars military presentation salver.

Bearing beautifully engraved Hussars badge alongside crowned shield, with eagle stars and crescent.

Briefly, the Hussars are light cavalry dating back to the 12th - 13th century in Eastern Europe.

The 18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary\'s Own) a regiment formed in 1759, motto for King For Law & Country we Strive.

Circular form. Unique rim comprised of twin feathered leaf and vine united by inset channel panel. Hussars badge and crest. Reclining lions, crowned mask above, winged cobra below.

Additional crowned mask, cobra, lion and stag amidst foliage.

Uniquely cast inverted shell cap rod, stepped platform feet.

The Hussars presentation salver is 17 inches and weighs 84 standard ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina. The crowned masks, lion, winged cobra and Hussars badge & crest retain their crisp detail. Stands perfectly even on shelf. Mild wear.
