An appealingcreamware toy plate simply decorated with a dotted inner border resembling ermine tails; within this a wide, pale-green line and, at the extreme edge, a black enamel border; no maker\'s mark but probably Wedgwood, StaffordshirePotteries, circa 1800 - 1820.

This tiny plate is only 2 11/16 inches in diameter and we think it is almost certainly Wedgwood although there is no maker\'s mark. The condition of the plate isexcellent. There are no chips, no cracks, and no restoration.
