An unusual \'Hock\' style of bottle that carries a seal of an English wine and spirit merchant in aqua glass. Probably dating around the mid 19th century. The seal readsGEO. AYLIFFE WINE & SPIRIT MERCHANT DURSLEY ( which is in Gloucestershire )The bottle measures about 14 inches tall and is in good condition, but typically of an excavated bottle it has some minor faults as you would expect. The outside glass is shiny, but there is some cloudy stain / deposits on the inside of the bottle. I haven\'t tried, but this might improve with a good clean. I can find no cracks.
