Retreat to a Black Forest chalet with this one-day weight driven clock from Engstler. The rugged beauty of its simply charming natural wood finish will capture your imagination. The chalet’s roof juts out beyond each side of the building’s walls. Above the clock face, the cuckoo window rests. On the left side of the chalet, a pine tree nearly reaches up to the roof. On the right side of the chalet, we see a small overhang where a woodcutter might store his logs. In the center, we see a small chopping block with a piece of wood ready to be handled. Below the base of the clock, we see more detail in the carved wooden bars which intersect forming a star like design. Behind this, the chains, pine-cone shaped counterweights, and wooden pendulum hang. This gem will cuckoo and gong to alert you to each half hour. It also announces the number of hours on the hour.
