Size Approx. 24\"Long x 17\"Tall

This is a stunningly gorgeous and heavy platter, extremely beautifully hand painted and detailed. The edge has a 3\" wide raisedborder with embellished perforated detailing. The border is painted so that it looks like stylized green leeks or onions, green at the edge fading down to speckled white.

The turkey has a great form and expression and is done in lovely colors.

Glaze is bright and vibrant, in beautiful condition, no cracks or crazing.

This platter would be WONDERFUL for Thanksgiving or a winter holidayand would hold the largest turkey possible to find- in fact, it may hold an ostrich! It is the largest hand painted Italian platter ofthis type that I have seen over many years collecting.

Because of the raised pattern going around the edge, it is very easy to grip and hold on to.

There is onTINY chip to the inner border of the leek pattern. See photos # 10. It is very hard to notice because it has been painted with a small dab of matching green paint. The very edges of the platter have a few minor spots where the glaze hasgently wornoff from yearsof use and handling. This is not damage and does not effect the piece. In my opinion, it only adds to the authentic \'vintage\' look.

This tray would also be stunning displayed on a china cabinet or side board.It would make a gorgeous centerpiece ona Fall-themed table.
