This chair was produced in Britain just after World War 2 and was designed using the materials that were plentiful at the time such as aircraft aluminum.

This chair was praised for it’s beauty and strength and won awards for it’s modern design.

This chair is in excellent condition with no structural cracks or repairs evident. It was recovered many years ago (1974 to be exact) with a hand made needlepoint that really does not suit today’s tastes. But you can look at this as a diamond in the rough that you can change to appeal to your design sense.

There is a partial sticker on the bottom that say’s “Race” as well as the cast BA3 to identify it.

This chair does not come up for sale very often so don’t let it slip through your hands if you’ve ever wanted one!
