Therare Everplay needles are a tungstone needle with a little spool of fine tungsten wire.
As with all tungsten needles, the wire does not form a sharp point, but wears down evenly and does not damage the records.
When the tip of the Everplay needle has been played down, turn the celluloid star wheel by 1/6 turn to feed some new wire to the tip. Due to the large amount of wire on the spool, Everplay guarantees that the needle can be played 27,000 times or more.
This contraption works well and produces a tone equivalent to a medium or loud needle (depending on the length of the exposed wire). It is much appreciated by owners of automatic changers, like the Victor 10-50 or the early Capehart record changers.
Condition: New old stock, unused in original package. The sealing flap of the envelope has become unglued. Paper of envelopemay have slight yellowing.
