Offered today is an Exceptional 18th century Queen Anne Tea Table in Cherrywood.The 2 board top with molded dish edge, above a tilting and revolving \"birdcage\",raised on a base with bulbous turned pedestal,all supported by arching cabriole legs ending in snake feet with carved raised pads.The table is in completely untouched original condition except for the finish which is a very pleasing mellow patina.The are NO repairs or restorations whats ever! Original hand wrought iron base plate, with rose-head nails, covers the dovetailed joints of the legs.Original \"dish\" rim is complete and has had NO repairs or restorations.The \"pads\" on the feet are carved from the wood, not applied.No breaks where the legs join the pedestal!!!This tea table of nice small size has been in the same collection for the last 40+ years.Original battens on the back of the top, original brass catch to secure the top in the down position.Top exhibits 3/8\" shrinkage as a table of the age should.As Fine a Tea Table as you will find in Exceptional Original condition!Attributed to Lancaster Co. Penna. Dating 1770-90.
