Exceptional Hand Painted Meiji Japanese Kutani Vase Of A Ceremonial Precession.

Brand/Provenance: Kutani, Japan.

Age: Meiji Period (1868 - 1912).

Size: The piece measures 4.25cm at widest point, and 8.5cm high

Artist/signature: The piece is signed with the Kutani factory mark and the artist signature to the base.

Condition: The vase is in Perfect \'MINT\' condition with absolutely NO chips, cracks, wear or restoration. Decoration is A+ and has been very well looked after.

Comments: An exceptional and rare Japanese Kutani vase from the Meiji Period. This UNIQUE example depicts a traditional Japanese religious precession ceremony,featuring men on horseback, and others holding religious ceremonial items, as they walk amongst a backdrop of lake and forest scenery. The piece is decorated with the most beautiful decorating figures which are finely executed withgentle gilt highlights. The attention to detail throughout the entire 360 degree decoration is just superb. The neck and bottom of the vase are also decorated with fine gilding and organic patterns that complement the central painting.
