An exceptional, museum quality Japanese Banko vase. Late Meiji, dating to the 19th century. Circa 1878-1880. Signed at the base, mark reads \"Nippon Banko\". Examples of wares with this mark can be seen at the South Kensington Museum. This example is a lovely vase with delicate twin handles, with floral enamel work on both sides of the piece. It\'s in excellent condition with just one or two very imperceptible surface flakes to the base/bottom rim.
Size: 6 1/2\" tall and approximately 4 1/2\" wide handle to handle.
Very scarce piece, with a great form and in great condition.
