Enameling jewelry began on gold and silver. Costume jewelry manufacturers tried to copy these fine pieces. Some were successful, and some were not. \"Trifari\" WAS successful. Their fine craftsman were able to create stunning works of art. At mid-century, every woman owned at least one piece of enamel. Fine famous Jewelers have and still offer the real thing. But a piece from Trifari is a refined substitute. White jewelry has a special personality. making it a festive Holiday Statement. And then, all summer long as cool practical accessories. This set of Pendant/Necklace and Earrings is very rare. The chain has beautiful filagree stations that make it more exceptional than other chains from similar style sets ( 28\" Long Overall) Such care has been taken with every detail. Even the backs of the earring clips are fine filagree (see photo). The Pendant Ornament is rather large (2 1/4\" Long x 2\" Wide) It is two connected moving pieces, and their movement gives the piece much interest.
