Georg Barlösius: (1864 Magdeburg - 1908 Berlin): German painter, muralist, illustrator and typographer (\"Barlösius\" font, designed in 1907) in Berlin. Studied at the educational unit of the Berlin Arts and Crafts Museum, thereafter at the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts under Otto Knilles and the Munich Academy of Fine Arts.

Literatur: artists dictionaries AKL, Thieme-Becker, Osterwalder (illustrators dict.), mentioned in several publications about exlibris by Richard Braungart, Walter von Zur Westen and others.
