Here is another of my most treasured possessions from my 40 year long collection of millinery and textiles. A rare find indeed. Antique, circa 1909 to 1910, Edwardian era. An exquisite French silk lame or tinsel gilt flower stem, still with the original Paris label attached. The flower is all hand made, and is unlike anything made today. It appears to be a Dahlia flower or perhaps a fantasy bloom from the artist\'s imagination. A long wired stem is hand wrapped in paper, and there are two wired gilt silk leaves to arrange as you please. I had 2 of these, and this is the last of its kind. Paper tag reads \"PARIS\" and \"Made in France\" with a # also. A good large size, perfect for adding genuine antique charm to your hat or any creative use, or just to display in your lighted curio cabinet. The entire flower with the stem stem measures approximately 11\" long, with the flower portion being 6\" of that length. Gently laid flat, the flower is about 5 1/2\" in diameter. The color is yummy, it looks as if dipped in pale gold dust, with a fabulous shimmer and luster in the light. Magical! Thank you for looking.
