Exquisite Islamic Persian Iranian VARTAN 84 Silver Tray, Ewer, 8 Goblets 1410 gr:

We are offering a truly beautiful antique Islamic Persian Iranian Silver Set of Tray, Ewer and 8 Goblets from the renowned skilled silversmith Vartan, from the late 19th or early 20th century period.

Vartan\'s fine sharp craftsmanship is beautifully displayed in the detailed engraved and chased floral foilage patterns on each piece.

The lovely Tray measures 11-1/2\" diameter, weighs 670 grams and is signed VARTAN A.O. with 84 marked in Farci. Please see picture 8. It is not very clear and I had to use a magnifying glass to read the extremely TINY numbers.

The handsome Ewer is 8-1/2\" tall, weighs 312 grams and is signed VARTAN A.O. with Farci numerals 84 above. Please see picture 6.

Each of the fine 8 Goblets is 3-3/4\" tall, with a combined weight of 426 grams. On the bottom of each Goblet is 84 in Farci with Farci script above. Please see picture 11. The name Vartan does not appear on the Goblets, however they are of the same exquisite design and were purchased as a set with the Tray and Ewer.

The total weight of the set is 1410 grams.

This beautiful Silver Set has been in our family since we acquired it in 1960 during our tour in the Middle East. It has been lovingly cared for and kept carefully wrapped the last 40 years and is in excellent condition, though I have not cleaned or polished it for many years.
