Exquisite Pair of Perfect French Porcelain Doves with Sevres Marks:

Here are two superb white porcelain doves, eachperched on a blossoming tree branch in a different pose. They have been beautifully modeled and exterly hand painted. Each ismounted on a porcelain base trimmed in cobalt blue and decorated with gilt leafand geometric forms. The handpainting and gilt decoration are excellent.

The porcelain figures carry what appear to be the familiardouble ‘L’ Sevres marks, valid or not. Regardless of the validity of the marks, the two doves arepositively elegant. Both also carry the declaration in French that they have been modeledand decorated by hand. Please review the photos carefully.

Condition-wise, these two figures are aboutas perfect as any porcelain objects with this degree of detail -- particularlythe flower petals -- could be. Wefind no fault whatsoever.

For works of this quality, the price ismodest. They could be heirlooms ofthe future.
