This stunningly beautiful print is by ChobunsaiEishi (Japanese, 1756-1829), one of the greatest Japanese ukiyo-e artists. He is especially famousfor his bijin-ga, or pictures ofbeautiful women.

This reprint would be a superb choice for any collector. It istruly a classic image from the golden age of ukiyo-e. It was made from meticulously recarved wooden blocks andwas printed using exactly the same techniques – and with the same rich colorand excellent detail – as the original.
