I have for your consideration this most exquisite solid silver scent bottle & stopper with intense scroll work with a crest on top of lid. This most exquisite scent bottle comes fully hallmarked for Birmingham and date letter m for c1886 and the makers initials BHJ for B.H JOSEPH & CO ( BARNET HENRY JOSEPH) of 20, Frederick st, Birmingham and 9, Swinton Street, clerkenwell, London. They were fine makers of jewellery and silver novelty items.
For a scent bottle of this age it is in wonderful condition with good hinged lid and no damage, the original stopper this scent bottle is 130 yrs old measuring 5.5cm tall this would make a firm investment piece, collectors piece or a magnificent gift.
