A vintage extending propelling pencil and dip pen nib holder combination.

As is usual for the age and weight of this item it is not hallmarked but tests as gold.

The terminal jewel is a bloodstone.

It has a sliding band to extend and retract the lead holder and another to extend and retract the dip pen nib holder.

The lead holder and nib holder extend from the same end.

The lead holder has a twist action to extend the lead. It is in working order.

The diameter of the lead that is fitted is 1.53mm.

The nib holder is a push in type and will accept a medium size of nib.

The top upper section unscrews to allow access to storage space for spare leads.

The cartouche has been engraved in script - Con.

Length closed 102mm. Case diameter across the flats 5.84mm. (25.4mm = 1 inch) Dimensions are approximate.

CONDITION: A vintage item in good condition.

The lead mechanism is in working order.

One side of the pen nib holder is split but does not effect the function.
