Amoy-George Uvedale Price-Photographic Study 1890s
Oblong folio (295 x 400mm) Published by Kelly & Walsh, Limited--Yokohama, Hong Kong, Shanghai & Singapore--this series of 15 collotype plates were taken by George Uvedale Price, who published a number of photographic studies of Asia in the 1890s.
Each picture, which is protected by onion skin, is preceded by a short caption as shown. There is also a brief introduction in the front.
Photo images are in EX condition. The paper wraps have staining, tears, and losses as shown and the spine appears to have been repaired.
This portfolio measures 16 x 11 3/4 inches. And the image themselves vary in size, most being 10 inches or more in length and 7 inches or more in width.
