This is an authentic Gallalith Evening Bag from the 1920\'s Bauhuas in Germany. It does not get anymore rare than this. I have been a collector for over forty years and have never come across another one. It measusres 9.5 inches long by 5 inches high - not including the linked chain. The lines, the abstract compostion, the material, and the overall form are magnificent. It should really be in a museum. It was purchased through and antique dealer in Berlin in 1969. And it has been displayed in my collection ever since. For a collector or a fashion forward individual this is an amazing chance to get something one of a kind and truly unique. And for its age, the condition is incredible, inside and out. The inside, by the way is lined in a wonderfully textured ivory silk with a built in mirror. It is being offered for the very first time.
