A Sterling Silver topped Malacca walking cane. Fully assayed for London 1919.After many hours of research, the only W.R. Dainty I could find was a member of the Royal Flying Corp- Royal Naval Air Service. One of England\'s first flying heroes. The timeline matches with the Assay mark on the walking cane to the end of the first world war. Go to the Web Site Flightglobal/Archive and see for yourself. He achieved the rank of Sub Lieutenant on the 30 December 1916. You have a chance of owning a real piece of history. Due to rules I can only sell this as a Silver topped Malacca walking cane as I have no paper work with it, the reseson for re-listing. The cane is 3ft long and has wear and the odd dent or two. Viewing welcome. See all photos before offerding. Good luck.
