EXTREMELY RARE UNGER BROS INDIAN CHIEF Sterling SHOE HORN~ NOUVEAU VICTORIAN:

Offered for sale is a beautiful ornate, sterling silver antique shoe horn made by American silver makers, Unger Brothers or more accurately Unger Bros. in the very RARE and hard to find INDIAN CHIEF Pattern.

This piece measures approx. 8 1/4\" from end to end.

The handle is decorated with an Indian Chief with a full feather headdress, rope, tomahawks, and a quiver with arrows.

The side of the shoe horn is marked \"Sterling 925 Fine\" with the Unger Bros hallmark. There is no monogram. The shoe horn is in overall GOOD condition for being around 114 years old with some condition issues.

AMAZING PIECE OF ART! REAL LIFE DETAILS TO THE INDIAN CHIEF DESIGN. SOME DENTING/DINGS TO THE SMOOTH SIDES PRESENT. PLEASE VIEW PHOTOS FOR DETAILS. ONE SIDE OF THE SHOE HORN DESIGN IS CONCAVE AROUND THE INDIAN CHIEFS FACE. THERE IS AN AREA AT THE TOP OF THE CHIEFS HEAD WHERE THE SILVER HAS FOLDED OR COLLAPSED WITH OLDER SILVER POLISH STILL ATTACHED, BUT NO SIGNS OF ROUGHNESS. POSSIBLY FROM THE SILVER BEING SO SOFT WHEN DROPPED? THE SHOE HORN ITSELF HAS RUST, BUT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO CLEAN UP, HOWEVER I AM NO EXPERT AND WILL BE OFFERING THIS HARD TO FIND PIECE IN AS FOUND ANTIQUE CONDITION FREE FROM SPLITS OR REPAIRS. ALL IS SECURELY INTACT WITH NO LOOSENESS TO THE HANDLE HOWEVER I DID NOTICE SOME RATTLING INSIDE THAT I AM ASSUMING IS THE ORIGINAL FILLER?
