Howard B. Warnock of Minster, Ohio, applied for his patent May 31, 1946; it was ultimately granted a full four years later on May 23, 1950. In the patent write-up, Warnock is simple and to the point in his description: Fundamentally, the invention consists of the usual spoon to which a pair of fish hooks has been attached. A flexible member is associated with both the spoon and the hooks. This member has two branches or bifurcations extending to the rear of the spoon and connected loosely with the hooks. When the spoon is drawn through the water, these flexible branches give the illusion of frog’s legs and flutter in a life-like manner similar to swimming.
This is the complete package...Warnock\'s wobbling frog with box and papers. I hated to take it out for the pictures...everything is there. Legs are intact, paperwork is all there, box is is great with all flaps intact. I have collected for over 25 years and this is one that I had only one chance at some years ago. It is the real deal.
