Symbolism & Purpose:The evil eye is a curse cast by a malevolent glare. Since ancient times, people have made amulets and talismans to protect against the evil eye. Any depiction of an eye can be used as a protective amulet against the evil eye. Although most evil eye amulets are blue, the red color of the crystal in this eye corresponds to Mars, the planet responsible for protection and self-preservation. This correspondence makes the Eye of the Devil ring a more active and aggressive evil eye amulet.
Handcrafted English Pewter:This ring ishandmade in England using the highest quality English Pewter. English Pewter is a lead-free, zinc-free alloy which is valuedsecond only to silver. English Pewter is much harder to craft than the low-grade zinc and lead alloys (which contain a significant amount of toxic impurities) that are still being used in some jewelry manufacture today. Becausethese rings are handcrafted and hand-finished, each one is unique; and there are slight variations between individual pieces. Also, slight imperfections in the finished product are normal, expected, and add to the unique handmade character of each piece.
