Description A wonderfullargeveryheavy English antiquesolid silver3/4pinttankard in rare \"958 Britannia standard\" silver and with full English silver hallmarks for London 1912.Stunninghigh qualitygenuine 107 year oldexample, in excellent clean condition, a higher grade than 925 sterling, handsome Georgian baluster shape with a scrolled silver handle and it rests on a circular pedestal base with attractive rope-twist edging. Has attractive raised decoration on the body and holds a little under a pint, around 3/4 pint. Has a superbheavy silver weight, approx. 398 grams.There are no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms, nothing erased. A real beauty, ready to be used.

MeasurementsGreat size, measures approx.4.75 inches (118mm) in height, (including handle) and is 3.5 inches (85mm) in diameter across the base,(excluding the handle).

DateEnglish antiquesolid 958 Britannia standard silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1912,(date letter \"r\"). Superb clear struck marks. Rarely found in this higher grade silver!Maker Silversmiths initials look to be \"P.E F\".Condition Excellent cleancondition and ready to be used. No splits or cracks to the silver, no solder repairs, definitely no holes or leaks and noknocks or dents, a beautiful undamaged example, looks very little used, despite its age. Greatsize, holds under a full one pint, around 3/4 pint,and has a veryheavy silver weight.The scrolled silver handle is undamaged and importantly there are no added engraved inscriptions or monograms.Rarely found in this higher Britannia standard grade of silver.Direct from a private estate and fresh to the market.
