This sale is for an incredible early Civil War Bible. This was given to soldiers to keep in their pockets through the war. I love, love, love this little Bible. It measures a mere 3 inches by 4 inches. It has a soft cover. The book itself is amazing with a word of edification to give God\'s blessing as they enter the war. There are wonderful hymns and Bible verses. This is a treasure for sure. It is all there and still bound. It has a lot of writing inside, but most of it is signatures and most are from the Crothers family. I love the last page where the name is so clear: Samuel Crosther Co 16, 1862. I assume this was whose Bible it was and that he was in company 16. There is some foxing on pages, but no tears or missing pages. Please feel free to ask any questions.
