This is a really fantastic piece of antique jewelry. This is a memory locket originally intended tokeep a lock of hair under glass. The piece is made of sterling silver and has a gold overlay.There is a slight variation in the color of the turquoise. The pearls are natural and have a gray/silver sheen.The bow at the top is particularly lovely. That is a typically French style, but I don\'t know if that iswhere the piece was made or not. I could find no makers marks on the piece and took it tojeweler for testing. The locket measures 2 1/2\" from top of bale to end of locket.The locket portion itself measures approximately 1 5/8\" x 1 1/8\"The locket/pendant weighs 19 grams w glass insert.
