Up for sale with is a fabulous 19th Century, Victorian Period, Austrian Cold Painted Bronze Letter Rack. The Letter Rack is modeled as a Garden Gate with 2 Parrot type Birds sitting atop the corner Posts and holding Letters in their beaks. The Birds show superb details and are Cold Painted Bronze. The Rack itself is also Solid Bronze and was originally Nickle Plated but that has mostly worn away to leave a great patina. I could not see any marks but judging by the superb quality of the Birds they are almost certainly Austrian. The Rack is in very good condition for the age with surface wear throughout and the letters in the Bird\'s beaks are slightly bent, but I am sure could be carefully straightened if you so chose. The Rack displays beautifully measuring measuring 6\" tall by 6\" wide. I doubt you will find another like this up for sale anytime soon, especially selling without reserve !
