This really huge, heavy and quite exceptional..Fabulous and totally unique Roman Solid silver gilded Fibula!
Solid silver crossbow fibula with gilded knob, was likely used during celebration of Bacchus (Roman God of wine) and then, most likely for the votive reasons, dismembered to seven parts.
The brooch is gentle reconstructed, with no visible significant damage.Complete original fibula with almost complete original silver plated pin (professionally fixed from two parts) Weight: 351.5g!Measurements: 200x 107mm!!!3rd- 4th Century AD
