“F.D.R. The Man of the Hour” mantle electric clock, 14” tall. Base measures 9 1/4\"” x 4”, made of spelter, zinc alloy, with brass finish, which is original and like new. The diameter of the face of the clock, which works, is imprinted United Electric Clock Corp. N.Y.,” and is 4 3/4” in diameter. A statue of Roosevelt steering a ship’s wheel, with the motto “F.D.R. THE MAN OF THE HOUR” engraved on the front of the base, one flaw in casting next to coiled line next to right foot, see photo. Presidential seal medallion on center of base rather than the more common sailboat. Manufactured in the 1930\'s by United Clock Corp. of Brooklyn, NY. to commemorate FDR’s inauguration.
