FINE ANTIQUE 19TH C NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN PLAINS OJIBWA BEADWORK BEADED BAG
I will be selling a large number of interesting antiques including Tribal art, Chinese, Japanese, and European antiques. I will possibly be selling over two days so please check again on FRIDAY as there may be more pieces for sale. PLEASE NOTE: This sale is in GB Pounds Sterling.

This is a very fine antique 19th Century beadwork bag most likely of Ojibwa / Saulteaux origin. Each side is beaded in a completely different floral design and also using a different background bead colour. Each design is striking and as always impressive in its tight make-up. It is a beautiful bag and although most of the beads are there it could do with a little tlc with some restiching where the seams have come loose and some reattaching of some of the loose bead strands. It remains an impressive piece of Native American art and I am selling it at a very low start price and with . Please study the photos below.

Please read down the entire listing for Dimensions, Condition, Postage & Payment Details - most of the information you will need is here on this page but please get in touch if you don\'t find what you are looking for. Condition & DimensionsSome issues with the beadwork and the seams as already mentioned and some degradation and general wear to the suede but it looks great in general.

It measures about 23\" / 58.5cms long (including the tassles). The beadwork panel is about 6.2\" / 15.5cms by about 5\" / 12.7cms.

Postage & PackingFor your peace of mind and mine items will be sent fully insured. I will be posting from WEDNESDAY 20TH FEBRUARY to MONDAY 25TH FEBRUARY so payment must please be received by SUNDAY 24TH at the very latest. PLEASE be a little patient with the post - I will get them posted asap but I work on my own, often have a fair amount to post and I do pack carefully.

Any delays by the postal services either at my end or abroad are rarely my fault. Barring incident I post out at the latest 3 working days after receiving cleared payment but sometimes an item is slowed up by a backlog of post or delayed whilst being processed through customs. To give you an idea it generally takes about 3-7 working days within Europe and 9 - 14 working days to the U.S. / rest of the world. If speed is of the essence then I can use a courier (DHL / FEDEX etc.) but prices for couriers start at around £30 / £40GBP for the very smallest object and VERY quickly escalate depending on size, weight and destination. Please note also that there has been a considerable hike in postage prices by the Royal Mail this year. I add on very little, often not enough to cover the packaging materials, so the price I quote really is as fair as possible.

UK: 1st Class Recorded Delivery (insured to £50 only): £4.65 GBP.

UK: Special Delivery: £7.35 GBP.

Europe: £12.97.- Royal Mail Signed For Airmail. This figure includes £2.60 for insurance over £50 GBP. This is a signed for service which offers full or limited tracking (depending on your country).

U.S. and Rest Of World: £16.73 GBP.- Royal Mail Signed For Airmail. This figure includes £2.60 for insurance over £50 GBP. This is a signed for service which offers full or limited tracking (depending on your country) and insurance. Please do not ask me to falsify customs documents, thank you.Where possible I will of course combine shipping for multiple purchases (however if, for example, you win a walking stick and a box of some description this wouldn\'t be very practical!).

Payment Details (Important: Please Read)UK: PayPal.
Rest Of The World: PayPal only.
In the event of a recorded/traceable and insured item going missing in the post I will do everything in my power (provide proof of postage and evidence of value, etc.) to assist in obtaining a full refund from the postal service involved.

Finally, thank you for taking a look at my sale and please have a look at the other antiques I am saleing this week including a superb Native American Indian Plains Tobacco or pipe bag; a very fine Napoleonic pow bone domino set; a Georgian carved coconut cup; a Micmac / Huron embroidered card case; several good Chinese jade carvings; two unusual Maori walking sticks; netsuke; a wonderful Tanzanian figural club; a Zulu prestige staff / knobkerrie; Chinese bronze censer with seal mark; a very fine coquilla nut snuff box and many more antiques.

I am adding a few extra photos because I realise that I don\'t think I have quite shown the way the stitching has come free in some places. I am sorry if this was not clear and thank you for your patience!
