Description:

A fine antique Victorian turned Lignum Vitae travelling inkwell with carved mother of pearl decoration to the lid, dating tosecond half of the 19th Century.

The lid, with original internal bung, unscrews on a bayonet fitting to reveal the original glass inkwell. The glass liner is spring loaded to sink slightly when the lid is in place and create a tight seal whilst in transit.

Condition:

In very good antique condition, working well, without damage or restoration, and no damage to the glass. Please see the images provided which complement this description.
