Up for sale is a fine antique Chinese porcelain famille rose plate dating to the 19th century, Guangxu period 1875 to 1908.The plate is finely painted in vivid enamels with a central scene of dragon and phoenix with chrysanthemum and other flowers against a beautiful turquoise ground with a border of scrolling flowers and a yellow ground. On the back of the plate are three groups of flowers.The plate is large, measuring 9.6 inches diameter or about 24.4 centimeters and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There a few tiny firing imperfections on the rim, from the original manufacture, and some wear to the gold on the rim from age and use, mentioned for accuracy. This is a very fine plate, one of two listed in this pattern this week.
