A substantial, SOLID silver bangle, encased in black enamal; hand-carved, chased and engraved and inset with genuine seed or half pearls!
This stunning bangle dates from the late 19th Century, a genuine Victorian, Austro-Hungarian treasure.
Although it was probably originally designed to be a memorial or mourning piece, its beauty and style is such that this is a currently a very desirable \'in vogue\' treasure for today.
It has an internal diameter of around5.85 cms, meaning that this will comfortably fit any wrist up to around7.3 inchescircumference.
It measures a chunky,1.5cmswide and it weighs a heavy35.6 grams,1.255 ounces.
This is in a fabulous condition, especially considering it is probably in excess of 110 years old.
There are superficial scratches to the enamel to the rear that enhances its beauty and authenticity, rather than detracting, but there are NO chips, cracks or loss of enamelling and ALL the wonderful seed pearls are original and intact!
It has a high quality \'push-fit\' tongue clasp that is secure and it has the addition of a secure chain.
FULLY Hallmarked to the clasp with the 1867-1922 Austro-Hungarian DOG\'S HEAD stamp, with the Letter \'A\' denoting that this was Assayed in Vienna.
It is further stamped \'MuS 6\' and \'M&S\' presumably Maker\'s/Designers Marks.
