Old German violin from the Meinel & Herold workshop around 1920s/30s.

Please listen to the video/soundfile & scroll down to see all detailed XXL photos below as part of the description! Nicely carved scroll and accurately inlaid purfling. This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the 1-piece back, as well as ribs and neck, is maple. Pegs, tailpiece and chinrest are ebony. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthier and our violin player on playability. It received new ebony pegs and ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings.These are new silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to provide a comparison of the tonal qualities of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full character of this violin!
Good old German quality violin in immediate playing condition! Great sound - listen to the sound on youtube ! Measures aprox.: total 59,5 cm / 23.4\", body 36 cm / 14.17\", vibrating chord length 33 cm / 13\", weight 517 gr / ~18.2 oz.
