Description A fine English antiqueVictoriansolid sterling silvergraduating curb-linkalbert pocket watch chain with handsome attached silver fob medaland with English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1896. Goodquality genuine120 year oldexample, witha silver t-bar and has an unusual silver swivel/dog catch with locking screw thread.Weighsa heavy approx 40grams.

Measurements Measures approx 12 inches (306mm) in length,with a further 1inch on the fob chain.

Date English antique Victorian solid sterling silver, withEnglish silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1896, (date letter \"w\"), stamped on the t-bar and there are worn/rubbed lion passant stamps on the chain links. The swivel catch has a worn hallmark and is definitely antique silver. The shield medal is silver hallmarked Birmingham 1910, (date letter \"l\").

Maker Silversmiths initials \"J.R\".

ConditionGood condition,no splits or solder repairs, and with normal agewear on the chain links. The swivel/dog catch works perfectly and the locking screw thread screws up tightly. Small period inscription on the attached fob medal.
