Very fine quality pair of Japanese Shibayama decorated plaques - circa 1880, Meiji period.
Each applied with a gold lacquer Maki-E tree - one with a falcon in colorful MOP and the other with an egret - very high-grade work.
Both are in excellent condition for the age - please view detailed pictures.
