Thisbaluster-shaped mug has a very stylish appearance and a good heavy weight of over 12 troy ounces.The handle also has athumbpiece to give extra grip.

A further benefit is that thistankard has no personalised engravings. It has a heavier weight and is superior in quality to the majority of pint mugs from this period. This English style silvermugis marked to the underside for oneof the most important Hong Kong jeweller and silversmiths - Wai Kee -who have been retailing from this Chinese province since 1885. The mug was probably made for theirBritish ex-pat clientele.

MEASUREMENTS: 13.5cm high (5.3”); 8.8cm (3.5”) diameter at thetop; 391 grams (12.6 tr.oz.); 600ml volume.

MARKS: Sterling 925 standard silver made by Wai Kee ofHong Kong circa 1930\'s.

CONDITION: Excellent polished condition with no engravings.
