DescriptionA lovelyrareEnglishantique 19th Century earlyVictoriansolid sterling silverchatelaine candle snuffer and with full English silver hallmarks for London 1854.Excellent quality163 year old example, (definitely not a modern re-production), usual conical shape with an integral silver ring finial and with a period antique blue steel attachment ring for attaching to a chatelaine chain.There are no added personal engraved monograms or crests.

MeasurementsMeasures approx. 1.7 inches (42mm) in height (excluding the attachment ring) and is 0.8 inches(20mm) in diameter across the base.

DateEnglish antique 19th Century early Victorian solid sterling silver, with full English silver hallmarks for London 1853,(gothic date letter \"T\"). Includes the lion passant sterling silver mark Queens head duty stamp of Queen Victoria.
ConditionGood condition, no splits or cracks and no nasty knocks or dents, just a couple of very minor teeny little age-related surface bruises, really nothing. The early blue steel attached split ring is undamaged and there are no added engraved monograms or crests. Nice rare 19th Century sterling silver example.
