On offer today is a very rare set of12meat forks inOld Englishpattern.Assayed in London,1849 byhighly sought aftermakerof flatwareGeorge W Adams ( Chawner & Co). Year letterO. Hallmarks are deep and clear and stamped to the back of the stems.They are just over8 inches in length and weigh ahefty850 grams (27.33 troy ounces) and each piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout.Thetineshavenowearat all and are unworn being long, sharp and perfectly even. They areengravedtothe back with a lovely goat head crest, definitely no erasures either.
