Description
For sale on with is this very beautifull fine vintage Japanese Ichimatsu Girl doll with glass eyes & Gofun lacquer made from ground oyster shell to face hands & feet. The doll has beautiful inset glass eyes & finely painted mouth & individual painted eye lashes. The body of the doll is wrapped in original paper with the stamp / signature of the artist doll maker. I think the doll probably dates to circa 1900 - 1940 but this is just my opinion & I\'m not quite sure soplease make your own mind up to age before offerding. The doll measures approximately 17 inches - 43.1 cm in height.
The wood box is approximately 19 inches - cm in height x 8 1/2 inches - 21.5 cm width across
CONDITION
There\'s a little crack to the paint on the hand & little bit of paint loss to one of the little finger nails otherwise the doll is in good original condition for its age & still in original wood box. The box originally would have had a piece of glass to front of box but the glass is now missing.
